To strengthen internal alignment and celebrate the achievements of its relationship managers, Julius Baer, one of the world’s leading private banks, commissioned a motion piece that would express the company’s values of transparency, predictability, and equality.

The film needed to connect on an emotional level while maintaining the brand’s signature sophistication. It was aimed at internal audiences and designed to recognise collective effort, explain key performance principles, and close with a unifying message of appreciation.

Creative Thinking

Visually, the piece extended Julius Baer’s refined brand world into motion.

A flat, minimal illustration style and a muted, neutral colour palette ensured consistency with existing materials. The animation design drew inspiration from architectural structure and geometric precision. Grid lines, measured arcs, and smooth morphing shapes created a sense of balance and order.

Every transition was crafted with care. Easing and flow were calibrated to feel effortless and composed, echoing the discipline of wealth management itself. The story unfolded through evolving geometric compositions that symbolised growth and collaboration. Motion remained understated yet confident, expressing integrity through simplicity. The tone was aspirational without excess, with every movement serving the narrative and emotional intent.

Strategic Approach

The project required a careful balance of clarity, warmth, and restraint. Because it addressed sensitive topics such as performance, rewards, and compensation, the strategy focused on building trust and openness, turning potentially corporate messaging into something more human and motivational.

The communication aligned with Julius Baer’s brand pillars:

Transparency: Visualise systems and relationships clearly through structured storytelling.

Predictability: Maintain consistent rhythm, pacing, and motion language to reflect reliability.

Equality: Celebrate shared success over individual recognition.

Collaboration with the internal communications and HR teams ensured the tone felt genuine and inclusive. The aim was to move away from corporate formality and create a story that connected people to a shared sense of purpose.

Outcomes & Impact

The final animation became the central piece in Julius Baer’s internal rewards campaign, presented globally to relationship managers. It translated complex performance messaging into a story of gratitude and shared success.

Leaders praised the film for capturing the company’s values with clarity and elegance. It strengthened understanding of new performance principles while boosting morale, proving how well-crafted motion design can balance strategy and emotion.

Beyond the campaign, the project showed how motion can embody a brand’s tone-using precision, rhythm, and calm storytelling to build trust and reinforce identity from within.
