A leading tech-forward appliance company wanted to reframe its next generation smart oven as more than just hardware – as part of an intelligent, long-term living experience.
The brief was to craft a short story-driven video that mapped the product’s entire lifecycle: onboarding, daily use, AI-driven support, updates, servicing, and eventually renewal. It needed to feel human, not just high-tech – showing how smart design and motion can turn a product into a companion for modern living.
The challenge was to make a connected smart appliance feel personal and valuable over time — not just functional. I saw this as a chance to humanise the product through everyday moments, showing how technology can quietly support life, not just interrupt it.
I created a narrative around a fictional family’s journey, focusing on emotional beats like learning, adapting, and renewal. Motion design and stylised UI mirrored the product’s digital experience. I kept the pacing warm and the tone clear, ensuring the story felt intuitive, not instructional.
This project deepened my understanding of how motion can translate complex systems into emotionally resonant stories. I learned to align storytelling with lifecycle thinking — building not just a demo, but a narrative that felt lived-in and useful. The final piece became a flagship asset across internal and external comms, helping teams rally around a shared vision and setting a benchmark for how smart tech can be communicated with clarity, care, and charm.
